Transparency of the county website

The good

  • There is a listing of the current commissioners and how to contact them.[1]
  • Lists the county departments and how to contact the head of the department.[2]
  • Post very comprehensive information on the planning and zoning department.[3]
  • Meeting minutes are posted but can only be found if searched for.[4]

The bad

  • No listing the county audits, credit card receipts, or posting on the checkbook register.
  • While there is no link for the budget, there is a link for getting a license for "Bingo and other small games of chance."[5]
  • Post information on how to pay taxes and delinquent taxes but nothing about rates.[6]
